HOW ECO JERSEY ARE MADE?
QUALITY OF ECO JERSEYS
VIRGIN POLYESTER is derived from non-renewable petroleum resources and demands a substantial amount of energy for its manufacturing.
On the other hand, RECYCLED POLYESTER, obtained from repurposed materials like PET bottles, goes through the recycling process that rejuvenates the fiber at a molecular level, granting recycled polyester (rPET) equivalent physical properties to virgin polyester while significantly reducing its environmental footprint.
In fact, the production of recycled polyester fibers emits lesser CO₂ compared to the production of virgin polyester, underlining its positive environmental impact.
5 Key Characteristics of Hazonas ECO (100% Recycled Polyester) Fabrics:
#1 Moisture-Wicking and Quick-Drying
Retains the inherent moisture-wicking properties of polyester,
pulling moisture away from the skin, and dries quickly.
#2 Durability
Exhibits strong and durable properties, akin to virgin polyester, ensuring
longevity and wear-resistance in various applications.
#3 Softness and Comfort
Advancements in recycling technologies have improved the texture, making
recycled polyester softer and more comfortable against the skin.
#4 Colorfastness
Maintains color vibrancy and consistency, ensuring that garments retain their appearance
even after multiple washes.
#5 Ease of Care
Easy to care for, typically machine washable, and maintains its shape and structure with minimal
wrinkling.

GLOBAL RECYCLED STANDARD (GRS) CERTIFICATION
We exclusively collaborate with factories that hold GRS certification, guaranteeing their genuine use of recycled materials and adherence to high standards for workplace conditions, chemical usage, and environmental impact.
ECO PRINTS
Our eco sublimation prints, only use Mimaki & Epson original inks, which are bio-based (100% nickel and fluorine-free), certified safe in accordance with OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 Class 1 criteria.
The inks are designed perfectly for textile printing, setting the benchmark for the industry standard in wash fastness and resistance to alkaline and acid perspiration.
ECO PACKAGING
In our effort to contribute to sustainability, we opt for PLA, also known as Polylactic Acid, a biodegradable and compostable plastic crafted from renewable sources such as corn starch as our jersey packaging.
This eco-conscious choice represents a sustainable substitute for traditional plastics, aligning with our commitment to reduce plastic pollution and advance a circular, more environmentally sound economy.
7 KEY BENEFITS OF USING ECO FABRICS
#1 Resource Conservation
Recycling polyester reduces the need for new raw materials, thus conserving petroleum-based resources that are used to produce virgin polyester.
This helps in minimizing the overall demand for oil and energy.
#2 Waste Reduction
Repurposing plastic bottles and other PET waste into polyester fabric helps divert these materials from landfills and the environment, contributing to
waste reduction and addressing the issue of plastic pollution.
#3 Energy Savings
The production of recycled polyester generally consumes less energy compared to manufacturing virgin polyester. The process of recycling polyester
requires fewer steps and lower temperatures, leading to reduced energy usage and lower greenhouse gas emissions.
#4 Reduced Carbon Footprint
Recycling polyester fibers significantly reduces the carbon footprint associated with the production of new polyester. It contributes to lower carbon
dioxide emissions, aiding in the fight against climate change.
#5 Water Conservation
Manufacturing recycled polyester typically requires less water compared to producing virgin polyester. This is a critical advantage in regions facing
water scarcity and supports sustainable water management practices.
#6 Circular Economy Support
Utilizing recycled polyester promotes a circular economy by extending the life of existing materials. It showcases a model where waste is repurposed,
and products are recycled into new ones, minimizing the need for virgin production.
#7 Community and Social Benefits
Recycling initiatives and the use of recycled polyester often support local communities by creating jobs in recycling facilities and related industries.
This can have positive socioeconomic impacts in communities where recycling is prevalent.
All in all, incorporating recycled polyester fabrics into our jerseys contributes to a more sustainable and responsible approach to manufacturing, aligning with global sustainability goals and fostering a cleaner and healthier planet.
